With the small, sleek and powerful ActiveEye Motion Sensor, you no longer have to leave your lights on all night to ensure your guests have a safe walk up to your door and discourage potential intruders from sneaking up to a darkened home when you are away. The weather-resistant ActiveEye Motion Sensor wirelessly signals X10 lights to switch on the instant someone sets foot onto your property keeping your home safe and secure while offering a welcoming light to your guests. The built-in, customizable photocell detects when it’s dark so it can save energy by turning lights on only when it detects motion in the dark or you can set it to transmit every time it sees motion, even if it’s not dark.
The ActiveEye Motion Sensor works anytime, day or night, indoors or Outdoors!
Automatically turn on an area of lights, all controlled by X10 modules.
Fully weather-resistant
Adjustable time delay
The ActiveEye Motion Sensor sends wireless Radio Frequency (RF) signals to an X10 Transceiver or any X10 security system base receiver

Works as described
It senses motion, and sends a signal to X-10 device A-1. That’s what I’ve figured out so far. It works great. What I haven’t figured out is how to reconfigure it so the signal activates a device other than A-1, but that’s OK, I can just set my target device to be A-1 and everything is fine.We use it out on a patio where it detects when a neighbor comes out to smoke, so we can close our windows. Hey it works and the neighbor still gets to enjoy his cancer sticks.

Works well, but be careful with the instructions
An inexpensive and useful PiR (passive infrared) motion detector. It can be programmed to turn X-10 controlled lights on at dusk and off at dawn or not, and to turn on the lights whenever it’s triggered or only if it’s dark. The time the lights remain on after trigger is adjustable over a wide range, too.Note that all of these functions are programmed using only TWO buttons, meaning that everything is some combination of press, press-and-hold, and press-a-certain-number-of-times-and-hold-the-last-digit. It takes some practice, and you must follow the instructions very carefully. Also, The sensor can be fooled by light from the bulbs it controls, so be sure it’s not in their direct light. Most important: This sensor uses radio-frequency (RF) wireless to communicate to a unit like the TM-751 Wireless Transceiver Module. That translates the RF signal from this unit to the AC-line signals that control other X-10 devices. This sensor will NOT work without some kind of RF-to-X-10 bridge. In our case, we used this sensor to talk to the TM-751, then used the X-10 signal from the ‘751 to control an X-10 wall switch. It sounds complicated, and it is, but it has to be that way, since the battery-operated sensor does not have an AC line connection itself.Still, it’s very convenient. We have several of them to turn on outside lights, whether we’re walking from the house to street or vice-versa.Recommended.

Came on time, and just as described.
It does what I expected. I don’t know what else to say, it appears to be well made. But I don’t know durability or sturdiness yet. Works great so far. I do have 6 more of these for over 10 yrs.

Not waterproof. If outside, they must be sheltered.
These motion sensors work well…until they get wet. I have 4 of them, all outside. One is under a porch roof, but the others are out in the weather. After 7 months, all 3 of the ones that were exposed to the weather have stopped working. there are visible water droplets in the sensor screen. They are just not waterproof.I will probably replace them and build shelters for them to keep the rain off of them.I’m disappointed that they are not suitably for outdoor installations.

Good features, but lousy range
Lots of button pressing to set this up. Don’t lose the instructions, or you will never be able to do it again. Range is terrible. I have it 6 feet off the ground, pointed at my driveway. You almost have to walk up to it waving your hands to get it to trigger. Disappointing. It does have all the needed features, however. Twilight yes/no, only work in the dark, etc etc. Triggers my wireless transceiver just fine.

X-10 motion sensor the works and is durable.
I use this X-10 motion sensor on a porch on the house side of a support column. When it detects motion and is nighttime, the signal is used to turn on front porch lights. It works to keep small animals and or lizards from pooping on porch.

Works for me.
I have two of these. I sit them on shelves, one by the back door and one by the garage door. I use them with a X10 TM751 Wireless Transceiver Module and two X10 Socket-Rocket Screw-In Lamp Modules. When I come in at night, two lamps turn on. One in the first room and one farther into the house giving me time to get in and turn on lights. Work great. Also warns me when my grandson comes in unannounced before he can give me a scare as he used to do. He used to think it was so funny when I jumped and practically had a heart attack.I can’t speak to mounting and programing problems others have had, I just used them right out of the box with factory settings.

Handy and easy to install
We live in a rented home and the less complicated the install the better. This unit can be placed anywhere needed as long as the receiver is within range. I wanted lights on the walkway from the driveway to the front step that were automatic for the people coming in and something that would alert us to the fact that they were coming.I positioned the motion sensor near the walkway and set the switch to the same number as another module that turns on a lamp when the outside lights come on.Problem solved.
