Best of the Motion Detector’s I’ve Tried
I must admit that I’ve only owned this motion detector for a couple hours for testing, but so far, this is the best that I’ve found.I have a pile of other motion detectors that have various flaws.Some stop working when they detect ANY light, making them worthless for many applications.Some cause LED light bulbs to strobe.Some have either too little or too long ON time… With no adjustment.Some are either too sensitive where the light pops on when a current of air is detected, or may not react until you’re in its’ face…. Without sensitivity adjustment.In my testing so far, this device has NONE of the “Some” flaws above.You can adjust to the level of ambient light from Zero to full sunlight, so if you want, it will continue to operate in bright light.You can use LED lights without the strobing effect. When it click ON, it’s ON without any strobing.You can adjust ON time after activated from a few seconds to 8 minutes.You can adjust sensitivity from very sensitive (in my testing a cat from 20 feet away will activate it) or reduced sensitivity where you must be pretty close to the unit for activation.I have not found that this until gives you any ghost activations where it just turns ON without any warm blooded animal in the sensing field. This will not activate because the AC or Heat kicks on (in my testing).I have a pile of motion detectors that has one or more failings that make them unacceptable for practical use. But, so far, this product is exactly what I had hoped all the others would be.Granted, I’ve only tested this for a couple hours, so I have no idea about the long-term reliability. That remains to be seen.BUT, I can vouch for for its’ functional aspects. I believe most will be happy that it gives a steady (not strobe) burn to LED bulbs, you can adjust for day/night operation, adjust for sensitivity, and adjust for time ON.One other feature that almost no motion detector have is a swivel adjustment to aim the sensor. This product is on a hinge so your can POINT the sensor. I tested this in the horizontal position and works just fine. Some will only work if mounted vertically from the ceiling. While I have not tested vertical orientation, because of the swivel enabled sensor, I can almost guarantee it works find vertically as well.TIP: I’ve noticed a couple reviews that states the bulb will not lite. The center connector in the device can be bent UP so it touches the bulb center connector. I’ve seen this with other motion detectors where the buib connector does not make contact with the device center connector because the device connector does not quite touch. Bending up the metal device connector so it touches the bulb fixes this minor issue.Based on the facts as I know them from my 2 hour test, I would recommend this product as a BUY.

Works Great
We wanted a motion activated light in our garage so whenever we entered with our hands full, we wouldn’t have to search around for a light switch. We installed this socket in a wall light fixture to the right of the door from our kitchen into the garage. This unit works really well and the fact that the motion sensor is adjustable is really nice. Now every time we go to the garage, we don’t have to worry about turning on the main light. The light comes on automatically as soon as we step one foot into the garage. You can also adjust the amount of time that the light stays on which is another bonus. I highly recommend this fixture.

Great Quick Motion Activated light
So was helping a friend move into a new rental. Always pitch black outside but she didnt want to leave the light on throughout the day. So come across this. Got it and went to install it, If you have one of the smaller porch light fixtures its almost impossible to screw it into the socket. The sensor mechanism is a bit wide. But after some fiddling around I was able to finally get it to screw in place. If they would make it for where the sensor arm was removable id give it 5 stars. But yea keep that in mind when ordering if you have a light socket thats close to the wall

Worked for 3-4 months
I’ve used two of these for around three to four months. They’ve worked pretty well for most of that time. A few weeks ago one of them started behaving strangely – light and then drop to an under-volt condition (dim light that’s barely on). Then today the second one started behaving the same way. Looks like the life span of this brand is very, very short. I’ll try to return it for a refund and find another brand that is more stable.Return window has closed. Avoid this product. They don’t last, it it’s a waste of your time and money, and the vendor (and Amazon) provides zero opportunity for follow-up, complaint, feedback, or remediation. Total rip-off.

Works great
Added one of these to my front porch light. When it comes on it also runs a box fan pointed at the door to try and blow away any mosquitoes trying to get inside. Highly adjustable, and the motion sensor can be pointed where you want it.One thing to know is you might have to rotate your fixture so that the motion sensor points where you want it to once it is screwed in tight. The first time it was about 180 degrees off, but spinning the fixture 180 degrees took care of that.Now I need to add a fixture for the back porch and install the other one there.

Works great right out of the box!
I have a room in my basement with a REALLY inconvenient light switch, which sounds like a serious “first world problem” but it is really annoying when you find yourself pulling out your phone to use as a flashlight because the light switch is so out of the way. Well the room only has a single bulb fixture, so I figured for the price of this motion detector it was worth a shot. It is PERFECT!!!! I pulled it out of the box, unscrewed the bulb, screwed the motion detector in and then replaced the bulb.It’s great, I open the door and walk in and the light turns on EXACTLY when I step foot inside the room. It turns off a few minutes later, but I’m usually just popping in to grab a tool or something. I can’t say if it will stay on as long as it’s sensing motion because I’m honestly never in that room for very long.

Worked okay for 3 months…
GOOD: Easy installation, worked fine for 3 months.BAD: 1. Sensor doesn’t rotate around the bulb base so if you screw it in all the way it may not point in the direction wanted. 2. After 3 months the bulb started flickering, then it just stayed ON constantly no matter how I adjusted the settings.VERDICT: DO NOT BUY
