These lights work as indicated. Problem of dead battery LED lights in closets solved, 5 stars!
I ordered three of these lights (a 3-pack) and tried them out in a couple of unlit closets at home. They worked great, turning on as soon as you open the cupboard or closet door, or sometimes as soon as you begin to reach inside them, and turning off about 30 seconds after you close the door, or if there is no movement in range of their sensors. Perfect, just what I needed for several dark cupboards and closets in my RV.So I ordered this six pack (slightly better price per light, and I needed more anyway) and installed them a couple of days ago on a trip in the RV. What a difference! We have small, bright LED lights in most of the spaces now, controlled by switches (click on the light to turn it on or off), but they always have dead AAA batteries because we forget to turn them off in the daytime. We have gone through Costco-sized packs of AAA batteries trying to keep our closets and cupboards lit when needed – a constant irritation. These lights are almost as bright – totally sufficient for the task of lighting up a cupboard, and equally up to lighting the tiny closets and storage spaces RVs have. And now I expect the lights and batteries to last for years, since they are rarely turned on. I will comment back if the “motion sensing” elements suck the batteries dry, but with over a thousand reviews at this point (most are positive, and say battery life is not an issue), I am hopeful that our closet and cupboard lighting woes are over for the RV.I’m going to get another 6-pack – maybe two – for the boat, where closets and storage spaces are very similar to an RV, but weird-shaped and plentiful. Finally, this issue is solved for us, loving the product and how it works for me so far!Two things… The double-sided sticky pad used to adhere these puck-shaped and sized lights to ceilings and walls have proved adequate for the task so far. Time will tell if they start to fall off once the glue dries up, or if they are functionally permanent. Note that you can remove the light to change the batteries without disturbing the glue pad. Also, there is a built-in magnet which was adequate to stick these lights to my fridge, and would presumably work on any ferrous metal surface (the boat engine room has many places where light never reaches from the overhead bulbs, so we have to use drop lights on extension cords – bit of a pain – these may help out down there via magnetic mount). It’s not a super-strong magnet, but it is adequate provided that the light does not get brushed or bumped.

Great lights
I use them to light my stairs to the second floor. They are bright, they function asthey should. They are a perfect fit for the stairs, plus they are versatile. They don’t flicker and the light longevity seems very good. I relive the lights They really light up the stairwell.

Magnet not too strong
Love the product. The brightness is perfect. Only issue is with the magnetic piece. It doesn’t hold too strong.

Prevents nighttime injuries!
These lights are FANTASTIC! I was getting bumps and bruises from feeling my way to the bathroom at night. Now I can see my way there! Easy installation, great motion detection, and turns off after 10 seconds so rooms maintain darkness and I can get back to sleep. One of my BEST Amazon purchases.

Theyre okay
They work and do their job. However, after you put the batteries in them, the magnets are not strong enough to hold up the light

Lights up dark spots
Wonderful tool that donât hesitate to get to light up using motion sensor light up areas . Close areas 3 feet apart light up dark closets and pantries . Negative is each unit requires 3 AAA batteries . So must include that as part of your cost when consideration on buying product . Peel away to install anywhere. Very lightweight and easy to handle . Otherwise donât hesitate to purchase as itâs a great item .

So necessary in some areas
I got these because my 70 year-old mother lives with me, we recently moved, and her new bathroom has a step she’s not quite used to.The first night she spent in our new apartment she literally fell on her face when she went to the bathroom at night. I installed these the next day and they’re great! Once she steps into her bathroom in absolute darkness the first one turns on, she only has to take one step and the second one turns on (the one right on the dangerous step), so she’s able to see the step before moving forward. I placed a third one right next to the toilet, but I’ve found you have to get really close to that one for it to turn on. I moved the third one to a better spot and found that the adhesive is really strong (but leaves no nasty residue). Unfortunately, once you remove them from their original place and stick them somewhere else the adhesive doesn’t work as well and the units keep falling off. I just used double-sided tape to place them in the new spot. They also come with a magnet, but, in my case, my mother’s bathroom doesn’t have any conveniently-placed metal for me to stick them to. They also don’t stay on as long as I’d want them to (they stay on for less than a minute), but if you move they’ll come back on. I do like that they are very sensitive to movement – I only have to open the bathroom door for the first two to turn on- and they only turn on when it’s dark enough. If there’s daylight and you can see your way around, they won’t turn on. If the bathroom lights are on, they won’t come on. I do hope that means the batteries will last a while. There’s a very long and dark (Ceiling lights are too strong) hall between front door and two of the bedrooms. I’ll be putting the remaining lights there once we get the furniture settled in that area (still in the process of placing everything where it should go). Will probably get more of these for other areas of the apartment.

Love the looks on these and the ease of installing them. I put mine on my stairs doing into a dark area, and I like the warm glow over the stairs from these. Now, only if I could teach my cat to not to play with these, lol.

Love it – could be brighter but does the job perfectly

These lights disable themselves if there is any ambient light, so using them as an automated closet light only works if the room is in complete darkness. It’s unfortunate; the motion sensor works well and the light they make is perfect. If the light detection was switchable, they’d be awesome.UPDATE: With a simple mod, the problem stated above goes away. Remove three screws, apply opaque tape to the light sensor, and reassemble. Three minutes to mod each one. Now I want tons of these!
