    Awesome griddle
Bought this to replace an old one that was wearing out. Works great and love the larger size! Heats up fast and is defiantly non stick. The side closest to where the plug goes in is the hottest, and the side opposite is the coolest. I just cooked 200 pancakes on it for an event and it did amazing!

I bought this griddle to make grilled cheese sandwiches at night. I was concerned about the size but was able to easily fit 8 sandwiches at once. It heated evenly and quickly. I was really surprised that I could glide the sandwiches around on the ceramic coating. The control I had over cooking was spectacular. They came out to a perfect golden brown and all of the cheese was melted through. This is a vast improvement over the cast iron griddle that I have to set on 2 burners. Cleanup was just as easy after it cooled. All I had to do was wipe it down with a paper towel. I bought it on sale for $15. I see that it’s up to $20 now.

    Truly non stick!
I ordered this to replace a 20-year-old griddle. We have been using. We got it as a wedding gift and it had lost its nonstick feature overtime. This one has a slightly smaller surface area, but it’s still large enough to do what I need it to do. The nonstick feature works fantastically. I really love it. It heats up quickly and cleaning is a breeze.

    Center is a cold spot
Cooks best closest to controller. Center doesn’t get hot enough.

    Awesome griddle
This is a fantastic griddle. The griddle is XL so there is plenty of space to cook. I specifically bought this griddle to use on thanksgiving morning because I was cooking for several people and it worked out great. I also love the grease tray. I cooked bacon on the griddle first and then used the grease from the tray to make homemade gravy. It is easy to use, easy to clean, great value for the money. All in all great product!

    Good choice
I used it for the first time yesterday. It was so easy to use plus it did a good job on my pancakes, plus it was easy to clean. It’s slim and light weight so storage is easy. And it made 6 pancakes at a time. Worth the money. A win.

    Great griddle.
Use it weekly for pancakes. Heats quickly, nonstick and cleans up very easily. Heating isn’t perfectly uniform but I have gotten used to it. Very happy with it.

Works fine, should last – with care [EDIT] – sarted heating inconsistany after 3 years, but fixable
I use this only for pancakes and it works well. No skillet has perfect heat uniformity, so this one leaves a visible stripe across both rows of pancakes it will hold, but cooking is fairly even and everything tastes fine. Heat control seems pretty consistent. The surface is like new going on a year of once-a-week use now. Just spritz with water to briefly soften any residue, then wipe clean using the non-scrubber side of a typical dish sponge. Takes only seconds. My only concern is how it’s made. The build quality is fine, but it was designed to use the absolute minimum of materials. That’s why the stripe is there in my pancakes – thicker aluminum makes for better heat distribution. More importantly, the plastic surround and legs are on the skimpy side. When I pick up the unit with one hand from one end, it seems like I’m really pushing my luck and I should be using two hands. An old Sunbeam skillet can be dropped on a tile floor and it’ll make a big noisy clank, but it will still work for decades more. Do that with this unit and the plastic is sure to crack, it’s not worth messing with replacement parts, so you just end up throwing it out and getting a new one – preferably one with a longer life expectancy. So if you get one of these because it’s cheap and works well enough, handle it with care to keep it out of a landfill. There’s too much cheap stuff in those already.[EDIT] After about three years of use my unit started heating inconsistently, getting too hot on the setting I’d been using forever. The problem is in the thermostat, the heat dial that plugs into the griddle. Unplug the unit and take out the four screws that hold it together. (DO NOT Try to remove the knob – it won’t come off without breaking the unit.) There’s no need to remove anything else, everything you need reach is accessible. There are two sturdy copper strips inside with an electrical contact on each, As they heat up they tend to bend away from each other to break the electricity flowing between the contacts. The heat selection knob works on a screw and just gradually changes the starting pressure between the contacts. The problem is that with 100s of make and break cycles the contacts can get gritty and pitted and work inconsistently. The fix is to cut some narrow strips of copy paper, turn the knob to off to create a small gap between the contacts to allow the strip to slip between the contacts (push the bottom one GENTLY if you need more room), turn the knob up to create some drag, the draw the paper out steadily so it wipes the contacts clean. Ideally it’s best to set the knob at the temp you most frequently use to clean that part of the contact, but close is good enough. You want enough pressure to get a good strong wipe of he contacts without tearing the paper. Sometimes some fluff from the paper can get stuck between the contacts, so follow this with a strip of glossy paper from a magazine or advertising flyer. You can also use very fine sandpaper (600+ grit, make sure you wipe both contacts with the gritty side) or special contact polisher tools, but there is the possibility of leaving behind abrasive grit. Follow up with glossy paper to make sure they’re clean.Put the thermostat back together the way it came apart and give it a try in the griddle. It should work as it did before, possible with a slightly different setting to get your preferred temperature. But at least now it should be consistent.Always try to repair before sending more junk to to a landfill!
