Nice dish
This comes with a rubber seal around the lid, it makes the dish air tight but also harder to open. I took it off and then the lid just sits on the dish. Holds 2 sticks of butter well. If you use butter a lot, this is great because of the 2 stick capacity. Easy to clean the porcelain dish in dishwasher or by hand, but the wood lid should be hand washed only. Looks very nice on the counter opposed to my old clear plastic one.

Best butter dish Iâve owned
This butter dish is great because itâs wide so I can fit 2 sticks of butter side-by-side, and the lid keeps dust and crumbs out (and it would definitely keep bugs out; whenever thereâs a pesky fly in my kitchen I was always worried about it landing in my butter). I like having my butter soft and at room temperature, so itâs more easily spreadable, and I think it even tastes better since itâs not absorbing smells from inside the fridge. The functionality is great as well. The dish is easy to keep clean because its dishwasher safe. The lid is easy to remove and thereâs a grippy ring so it fits snugly over the dish. Itâs pretty too.

Wood lid on this is very nice quality. Itâs got some weight to it and looks to be one solid piece. The dish itself is also thick and feels like it will hold up for years. Comfortably fits two sticks of butter. I found this to be less messy than the butter dishes with the dome lid.

Awesome butter dish, very easy to use and handle
This dish is perfect for large slabs of butter from Costco. Its deep enough and has a wooden lid that keep the butter clean. Its microwave safe for a quick softening of butter in winter. Looks very nice on the kitchen counter.

Aesthetically pleasing, BUT beware of quality control issues
Aesthetically pleasing, beautiful butter dish. Solid, heavy ceramic dish with a good quality look and feel.It is also VERY large. Much larger than I expected it to be even though it did say large in the description. It is definitely an oversized butter dish. Larger than any butter dish Iâve ever seen.In addition, beware that there seems to be some quality control issues with the manufacturer with regard the wooden lid and how it sits on top of and seals the dish.The unit that I receive performs well and has the silicone gasket that seems to affect the fit of the lid. However, it seems to be a âluck of the drawâ type situation so it might be helpful to manage your expectations if you do decide to purchase it.I would cautiously recommend this product because it is really beautiful, but be prepared that if you buy you may or may not have issues with your lid.Of course I canât say what the probability would be of your getting a unit with the wonky lid so it might be worth giving it a shot.

Arrived quickly, and well packaged. Container has strong rubber seal that keeps lid on tight and butter well preserved on the counter. Very nice to have soft butter when needed. Love that it will hold two cubes and will hold the longer style cubes of butter. Highly recommend
