Crystal Clear, Great Tasting Water That’s Easy to Dispense
As a busy family always on-the-go, we rely heavily on our Brita XL water filter dispenser as an easy way to enjoy clean, fresh tasting water. With just one touch of a button, this appliance delivers perfectly filtered water that’s free of unwanted tastes and odors found in our unfiltered tap water.Installing the Brita water filter was incredibly simple – no tools or complicated parts to contend with. The filters slot easily into the top container lid with a reassuring click. Thanks to the electronic filter replacement indicator, we always know exactly when it’s time to swap in a new filter as well.In terms of filtration performance, this extra large Brita dispenser is top-notch. It reduces an astonishing 99% of common water impurities like chlorine, sediment, copper, mercury, cadmium, and more. No matter what pollutants and minerals get into municipal water supplies, Brita filters trap them. What’s most noticeable after filtering though is the taste! Our tap water has an unpleasant chemical flavor, but water from the XL Brita is always refreshing and crisp. From glasses of water to morning coffee and tea, everything just tastes better thanks to significantly reduced impurities. Even our ice cubes are finally crystal clear without any weird odors or filmy residue. With an 18 cup water tank, electronic filter indicator, and effortless one-touch dispensing, this dependable Brita appliance makes enjoying cleaner, fresher water a breeze for my busy family. We happily drink more water as a result! For an outstanding filtered water solution, this extra large Brita water dispenser is incredibly reliable and convenient.

Great Water Dispenser with Effective Filtration, Despite Indicator Placement Issue
Being a responsible consumer who is conscious about reducing plastic waste, I made the decision to go for the Brita UltraMax Large Water Dispenser with Elite Filter, and I must say, it has proven to be an excellent choice. This dispenser fits perfectly in my refrigerator, and the spigot for pouring water is so precise that filling glasses has become effortless. I truly appreciate the enhanced taste of water that is now free from chlorine after going through the filtration process. Moreover, the fact that it effectively removes contaminants like lead and mercury gives me peace of mind. However, my only minor complaint is the placement of the filter replacement indicator, which is positioned backward on the container, making it slightly less intuitive to check. Nevertheless, considering its positive impact on the environment and its consistent performance, I would confidently give this Brita dispenser a solid four-star rating.

    Fantastic Crisp Water
I got this on a whim because before I had a water service (getting those 5 gallon waters) but the company decided to skip my delivery due to a payment mixup. So instead of dealing with them anymore, I’m returning my 5 gallon service stuff and got this brita. I’ve never had one but have had friends who did. It’s absolutely amazing. I cleaned it out as soon as it got delivered, followed the easy instructions to rinse out the filter and then filled it up so it could chill overnight. Happy to report the water is cold as heck, crisp and tastes better than my water service water. Don’t believe it’s just filtered tap water. I give it a 10/10. Also, I got the elite filter bundle so I don’t have to worry about filters for 1.5 years and can say it works very well. If you’ve been thinking about getting a brita, I’d highly recommend this one especially if you’re a big water drinker or have pets that drink filtered water, too.

Replaced my Brita Pitcher with this (a comparison)
I got this to replace a Brita pitcher, which simply was not very practical for my needs, with too small of a capacity. I will provide more specifics on this later in the review.Elite vs. Standard Filter: I selected Brita Elite (Blue Filter) as this removes lead, and some other chemicals, in addition to improving flavor, they . You can interchangeably use the Elite (Blue) and Standard (White) Brita Filters, however, the Standard (White) filters do not remove lead, and have a shorter lifespan. The Elite (Blue) filters last for 6 months, and the Standard (White) for 2. Price-wise, the Elite (Blue) filters are worth the price due to longevity alone, and when you add in the lead and other chemical reduction, it is an obvious choice. Taste is very similar between the two.Brita makes a third filter option that is not compatible with this dispenser or the pitcher, the Brita Stream. That technology is for specific Stream filters the water as you use it, and is simply a taste filter, it does not remove lead and other chemicals. I specifically wanted lead reduction, and did not consider this option.Dispenser vs. Pitcher:I think the Dispenser is 100% the way to go. The pitcher presents a lot of challenges and limitations. For reference, I have the Brita Large Pitcher with Elite Filter listed here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QG9Q9PB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1The pitcher is very problematic. The biggest limitation is the size. It has a very small capacity. If you are filling up water bottles, even large glasses, you will constantly have to refill this. The big reason I got a pitcher/dispenser was to have cold water, and it really ruins that when you have to refill frequently. The pre-filter reservoir only holds around 1500mL of water, which is just over half the capacity. One big issue is that you really cannot use the pitcher if there is water in the pre-filter reservoir as it just runs over the top. The prefilter reservoir also takes up a third of the pitcher’s volume, so there is less space. The pitcher, with a handle also really takes up a lot of fridge space, and surprisingly not that much less compared to the larger dispenser.By contrast, the dispenser is a great form factor. It does take up some extra space, but it is narrower, does not have a bulky handle, and is a little shorter (I would consider this or the smaller 18-cup reservoir over the pitcher). My household can go most days without needing to refill, meaning colder water. The pre-filter reservoir holds about 2 liters of water, but importantly, the dispenser is usable while filtration is happening. You also can have the pre-filter reservoir full with the main (post-filter) reservoir also full, allowing for an increased capacity.

Great product. Very high quality. The water was good tasting and very high quality even without the unit being in the fridge.I accidentally knocked the unit to the ground while I was filling it at the sink, and despite it being completely full of water, the unit was barely chipped. Water leaked onto the floor — but only slowly, and Nathal from the amazing customer service replied within 24 hours to give me a $50 CAD refund, which is more than enough to fill the damage with food safe resin or buy a similar model. I feel very lucky that the Brita team was there to improve my week even though my clumsiness was at fault.

Holds a good amount of water which is what we wanted. Filter easy to install.

The size of the water dispenser not as what it is described. I was shocked to note that it is relatively smaller – few inches smaller in term of width, height n long of the product. I noted this because I have bought a stand supposed to fit the size of this product but eventually turn out to be too big. And only later I found that the size is smaller than what it supposed to be . Terrible !
