This product is just downright awesome/excellent. Quick and easy to install, once you select your spots it takes less than 10 minutes to have your alarms up and running. The design is cute and ecstatically appealing no matter the setting. The relatively small size also makes it less intrusive and aids in seclusion if that is what you want. The distance is unbelievable and better than any product I have ever tried including the $300.00 products that were inconsistent and broke within three years. I highly recommend this product. I have purchased three different designs and all have been exceptional. I prefer solar over battery power for obvious reasons but all products will not disappoint. They are extremely consistent even at long distances and obstructed locations and have held up over time. This latest design of a little birdhouse sensor and a mushroom receiver is a nice addition to the line-up. The solar-powered birdhouse incorporates the panels on the roof to give it a nice finished product and plenty of surface area for capturing the sun. The angling of the roof panels allows it to capture the sun as it crosses the sky. It also has a port to add an additional corded solar panel should you need to place it in an area that is not in the direct path of the sun including indoors, allowing you to place the panel in the best place to capture the maximum amount of sun. I have never had an issue with them not having enough charge and have worked 24/7 365 days even in the dreary short days of winter months. The company HTZsafe stands behind its product should you have any issues. I have purchased many of them and only had 2-3 issues and they made it right. If you want an inexpensive, high-performing, ecstatically appealing, dependable, long-lasting, early warning device this is it. This is the one and the only one you will ever need. Although not advertised as portable they could very easily be moved from spot to spot and follow you to your vacation spot. You can add 30+ sensors since it has 30+ different sounds to choose from to cover all entry and exit ways. I have four strategically placed up my driveway, if the first goes off it could be an animal or a neighbor going to my pond to fish, which is confirmed when another one goes off, but should the one further up my driveway go off I can figure someone is coming to see me which is confirmed by the final sensor. I have many deer running around my property and if only one sensor goes off I can figure it is just wildlife. I also have them on my four-wheeler trails to track trespassers. I cannot say enough about these driveway alarms and the company and have purchased for my parents and neighbors. Additional note: They will not cross over to other receivers unless you want them to so you will not hear your neighbors unless you program them to do so.

EXCELLENT maintenance-free driveway alarm
This is maintenance-free because theres no batteries to change – the solar recharge on the two solar panels (most solar devices only have one) work really well. I like how its shaped like a little birdhouse too, a little easier on the eyes than some obvious camera-looking device, and a bit “kitschy” in a good way.So for tones, I didn’t want the common doorbell sound because it would conflict with my actual doorbell. Of the 30 tones I selected #24 which is a single bell and then a voice that says “driveway”. For reference, #25 says “front door”, #26 says “backyard”, and #27 says “garage”. I would have liked “kitchen” and “den” (since I have separate doors for those) but I only put one in for the driveway for now. It is nice that they put those spoken word tones in there (other brands didn’t have this) – I pretty much picked this one because of those voice prompts.I mounted it on a metal handrail and did have to angle it inward and slightly downward to avoid picking up a common driveway and only our own driveway, but it correctly detects cars coming in/out of the driveway, and delivery people walking past in. It does alert multiple times say if a car is doing a 3-point turn etc. but you get used to that. I wish there were more options for mounting than just screwing in 2 wooden post screws. I didn’t do that. I used 4 black cable-ties and lashed it nice and tight around the metal handrail in all directions, then popped the arm with ball onto it and its secure enough. The ability to point the camera angle a certain way works very well.Whats surprising is the indoor piece has a backup battery in it, and its not clear if thats also rechargeable or is a coin battery that might run out someday. But that keeps its “memory settings” like tone choice and volume level, and also lets you unplug it and still hear the alerts while carrying it in your pocket. This was useful for when I was testing for the proper angle. All in all, really happy with this driveway alarm.EDIT: I discovered that it does in fact lose settings like choice of tone and volume if you switch it off, but not a deal breaker for me since I know the tone I like is #24 (just a little annoying). What’s still true is provided you keep it switched on, you can unplug and carry the indoor piece with you from room to room, for example if you were afraid of not hearing it upstairs etc, and the battery lets it communicate with the outdoor sensor. Still a great product!

I’ve had TONS of detectors in my life and they all seem to fail in some way, or if they don’t fail, they detect a wasp flying by. Last month I had a different system, new, and it was crap, so I took the chance and bought this system and am very very pleased. It’s easy to program. I have two on my driveway with different alarms that tells me where the vehicle (or deer) is. Get these. They work!

All things considered I like the product – it actually has the range it says and I have it on a 400 meter road with no direct line of sight and a lot of trees, if I was to put my finger on something itâs the sounds , most of them are terrible and an option to record your own would be nice

Works as described. I have it set up, so that whenever someone comes up my driveway, the alarm goes off in my bedroom before they get to the gate. It provides peace of mind. I don’t feel like I have to listen for every little sound.
