Ease of install, works great
The manual doesn’t clearly document how to wire it up but a quick look at one of the DIY alarm forums will provide all of the necessary help you need to complete the install.I have it installed and feel it provides more than adequate security for the 244+ square foot room it resides in. The pet immunity works great by not detecting my 22lb black lab pup.

Doing the job
I bought this to replace another unit that was no longer made. Seems that the old unit no longer worked beccause of wiring problem in the attic. Price was very reasonable

They do what I wanted, expected and needed
I can’t say that I really love it, but it does everything I want it to do without issues. My other motion detectors which this replaced, were so much heavier. But these do what the others did. I hope they last as long. But as of now, they work perfectly fine! hence, the five stars!

Great replacement for a bad ADT sensor
One of my ADT installed (wired) sensors was going bad with a few false alarms. This took all of 2 minutes to install. Just take a picture of your OLD ADT sensor wire connections before you disconnect them. Then screw in the new device to the same color/labeled slots. Saved me from a $200 service call. Be sure to test the sensor a few times after installation.

I have a concord 4 panel and it was simple to replace my existing motion sensor, which started firing off false alarms. This one has very discreet detection and very small. So far this is the best sensor I have found.

Poor motion detection
This device has poor motion detection capabilities. I installed it in 4 different places in an apt and its motion detection is poor. The documentation from DSC is insufficient for example the jumper for Normal vs Hostile. It has two metal studs. How do you get two modes out of this? You would think it would take 3 studs to make a differentiation? The locking mechanism is a pain. Once this is installed and lid close, opening requires to push tab but even doing so the its very hard to open the case. Newer documentation shows that there are different lenses. Mine came in with just one and i dont know the type.Compared to the regular 300 model this performs very bad.

DSC good upgrade from original sensor.
Good product, replaced 10YO original unit of security system, which gave false alarms. DSC unit has not given any false alarms and has been in use since installation soon after delivery. Delivery was as promised.
