Great color night vision with very low light!
The two photos at the left above show backyard and driveway in almost complete darkness. There was very low stray light above the fence and from the sky. I walked around in the areas and could hardly see where I was walking. You have 4 choices for night shots. Standard (ambient light), Daylight (brighter with a little light added), Spotlight (dual led lights with more power usage) and infrared night black and white vision. The other two photos of my front porch shows coverage of the entire front of the house with double cross coverage of my porch. I also have an older Euphy camera that looks straight across the porch into the street. Nothing gets onto my porch without getting a face and 360 degrees recording. Today I caught two loose neighbor dogs fertilizing my grass 🤬. Before these new cameras I was the janitor for cleanup with no idea about the source. These new Euphy S3 Pro cameras are awesome. They have a 135 degree viewing angle , 8X zoom, 4K video quality, AI recognition of faces, vehicles, pets, and other motion. They have large solar panels so they charge themselves if positioned in a sunny location and come with a solar panel or more if needed for cameras mounted in low light areas. The mounting hardware is improved and easier to position the cameras. The only dislike is that the mounting holes in the base of the camera mounting post need to be slotted. Drilling in bricks is very difficult to keep exact hole spacing since masonry drill bits try to wander when starting holes. There are a bunch of other features that are available also. Like periodic timed snapshots so you don’t need to continually record. Then play it back like a movie. The radar AND infrared motion detection is a great improvement. The radar finds a moving object and seems to turn on the motion detection to record. I don’t know if that is exactly what is happening but I do know that moving objects don’t slip by undetected, unlike my older Euphy cameras.Watch several videos before you buy them. They are pricy but you get a lot for your money. A set of cameras comes with the newest S380 home base. Upgradeable with a hard drive to get 16TB of data storage. These new cameras and improved Home Base are magnificent!! The best part is you don’t have to pay a fortune for a contractor to run cables all over place around the house to make them work. I installed my 4 cameras and Home Base in about 6 hours. (Brick drilling and masonry bit re-sharpening).The instructions are very clear and the cameras and Home Base link up to each other with a push button and tone. Easy peasy!

    Better than advertised!
I had an Arlo Pro 2 camera system that I’ve used for the past 6 years and wanted to upgrade. An upgrade doesn’t even cover it! Setup and Installation is easy even for an old man like me. Quality, well part of it is to be expected going to a 4k camera system but the image is fantastic and the night vision is unbelievable!! Another very noticeable thing I didn’t hear anyone else talk about when I did my research is the speed. The time it takes from clicking on a camera till you receive an image is fast. Way faster than the Arlo system. Another thing I noticed is the charging and battery life. I thought something was wrong at first, it looked like I the cameras weren’t using any power and not charging. Upon closer inspection I realized it was just using so little and charging so little it doesn’t move the graph noticeably. The downside, well there are very few things to complain about with this system but one thing is the documentation. There is very little to no instructions for the software the cameras use, or at least I couldn’t find much. I asked customer support and they gave me a link to a video that was less than helpful. But if you’re not scared to play with the system you can figure out what does what and how to set it up to suit yourself. The only other thing I can think of is it feels like a lot of things are still in testing and aren’t implemented fully. This has mostly to do with the AI part of the software. Now they tell you in the software that pet, vehicle and something else is still in testing but even the Face ID which is implemented doesn’t really do anything. It will tell you in the notification that a person that you have “Named” has been detected. But that doesn’t work for pets & vehicles, at least not yet. That’s all it does, I thought I might be able to adjust things like don’t record my wife walking around in the backyard when she is playing with her flowers type stuff. I have a feeling that will come but right now the AI doesn’t do a whole lot.All in all I highly recommend this product, at least after a months use. If things change I will come back and edit my review. For right now, eufy scores a home run this system is fantastic!

As close to perfect video recording system as you can get…
I have been searching for a state of the art video recording system for my home without success for years. I finally discovered the eufy s3 pro. No subscription, incredible 4k picture, no video blur or lag, solor charging, rock solid software, night shots look like daylight, face recognition, instant email alerts, hard drive expansion, no more false alerts, radar detection, wide field of view and ability to customize recording time. My god. This system is beyond belief. They destroy the competition and solve every issue i have ever had with other systems. Expensive but worth every penny. You get what you pay for!

Excellent as Standalone; Marginal Homekit implementation
I went for this newer system for Homekit compatibility. While the overall system is very good the response time for viewing a camera that has been associated with Homekit is very slow. This is not an Apple issue as I have other cameras (Aqara, Logitec) that connect inside the Home app within 1-2 seconds. The two Eufy cameras that I have associated with Homekit take nearly 10 seconds and often fail to connect. I am pretty sure this is something in the Eufy Homekit implementation as the cameras connect within seconds inside the Eufy app.On the plus side the Eufy app’s Power Manager dashboard is excellent and unmatched by any other homekit cameras I have tried. I have one camera that will have limited solar time during the winter and it is performing well mostly on battery.I will update this review if Eufy pushes a firmware update that fixes this apparent Homekit problem otherwise beware if you are interested in this unit for Homekit Secure Video.

After much research I purchased several Eufy products, including this kit, in hopes of upgrading my present security system which requires a subscription to enable the majority of features. It was four fold in terms of cost so yes, I am expecting a better more consistent experience. Although it’s early in the game thus far, I am not seeing a huge improvement in terms of that experience being anywhere near 4x better. The phone app (Android & iOS) feels somewhat unpolished, and the Web Portal Access is kinda meh as things are slow to load, and there’s no ability to view more than one live view at a time. Maybe I’m expecting a bit much here I dunno, anyways…Upon unpackaging everything felt quite decent in terms of build quality especially the S3 Pro cameras, top notch packaging as well. Besides providing a device (phone, tablet, etc), and downloading the eufy Security app (for iOS or Android), everything else is included to get things up and running… The HomeBase S380 can be used to fully charge the batteries via USB on the cameras prior to mounting so it is not necessary to purchase a separate USB wall charger. The first thing I did prior to setup was to upgrade the storage on the HomeBase 3 (S380) as I felt the provided internal 16GB was a bit on the low side for the system components I was intending to install. Performing the upgrade was super easy as the base instantly recognised the SSD upon setting up the homebase. Even though there’s the ability to connect the homebase via WiFi I went the Ethernet route. Setup is a pretty straight forward process with voice prompts guiding along the way.Setting up the S3 Pro cameras was super easy as well, once done we just needed to find an area to mount them using the included mounts. The cameras definitely have some heft yet IMO it’s reasonable. Don’t forget to remove the film protecting the camera lens area, and solar panel. If camera placement means sunlight is going to be at a premium one may want to consider using eufy’s aux solar panel (one included in the kit). When it comes to image quality, it’s amazing and even more impressive how well it does at night. We haven’t had an ounce of sunshine where I live since mounting my cameras 2-weeks ago, yet they’ve been maintaining a battery percentage in the 91-93% range. That’s pretty darn good in my opinion. As I already alluded to, IMO the app kinda taints the overall experience. No, it is not consistently off but enough so to be noticeable. And from what I can figure out there’s no live view(s) when initially opening the app, or Web Portal. Or, multi-cam “live views” in either scenario. I hear it may be possible w/Apple’s Home Kit but I am not vested in such a system so it does me no good. Guess we’ll be keeping our old, and very cheap, security camera setup active for now since these options ARE possible with them.

One camera won’t connect at all. We have been trying for 4days. Plus the 2nd camera that does connect it’s solar panel doesn’t work at all. 2days in very warm sunshine and nothing. Yes we did fully charge it before we put it out. My old eufy system works better then this new one for almost 1000 bucks. Shame because we had high hopes.
