With the Hamilton Beach Bowl Scraper Food Processor, there’s no need to stop and remove the lid to dislodge food from the side of the bowl. The built-in scraper does the work for you, even while the processor is on for continuous processing. Kitchen tips: For a more uniform consistency, start with pieces of food that are similar in size. Cut food into 1-inch (2.5-cm) pieces before processing with the chopping/mixing blade and leave room in the bowl for the food to be tossed around. When chopping foods, pulsing on and off will produce the best results. Operating time will depend on the quantity of food being processed. Most foods can be sliced, chopped, or shredded in seconds. To slice or shred cheese, use firm cheeses like Cheddar or Swiss that have been chilled for at least 30 minutes. Soft cheese like Mozzarella must be placed in the freezer for 30 minutes prior to processing to ensure it is firm enough for shredding. All removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe.
BUILT-IN BOWL SCRAPER SAVES TIME: Quickly process ingredients without stopping to use a spatula. Simply move the scraper from side-to-side to scrape the bowl while the food processor is running or the power is off — no need to remove the lid.
SLICE, SHRED, CHOP, MIX AND PUREE WITH 2 VERSATILE ATTACHMENTS : The Hamilton Beach food processor gives you 5 processing functions and includes a stainless steel slicing/shredding disc and chopping/pureeing blade so you can tackle every job with ease.
POWERFUL 450 WATT MOTOR: Make healthy salads, homemade salsa, hearty acai bowls and more. The 450 watt motor easily powers through the toughest ingredients, so you can spend less time processing and more time enjoying.
PRECISE CONTROL WITH 2 SPEEDS PLUS PULSE: The low and high speeds plus pulse give you the control you need for a variety of recipes. Use the high speed when you need more power and select the low speed for processing or mixing delicate foods.
10 CUP BOWL CAPACITY: The generous 10 cup bowl fits large volumes of food all at once. The large feed chute saves you time by reducing the need to pre-cut food before processing or using as a vegetable chopper.
EASY TO CLEAN: All removable parts are dishwasher safe for effortless cleanup and all food zones are BPA-free for peace of mind
1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY: Built for long-lasting performance and backed by a 1 year limited warranty from Hamilton Beach.
SUCTION CUP FEET: Prevent sliding for greater stability on the countertop
WHAT’S INCLUDED: 450 watt processor base, 10 cup bowl, lid with large feed chute, food pusher with drizzle holes for emulsifications, built-in bowl scraper, reversible slicing/shredding disc, chopping/pureeing blade, user guide

    Works Great, Great Price
This product is 100% worth it for the price. I’ve been able to puree, shred, and mince my food in a fraction of the time that I used to. The bowl is a good size too. Several food processors come in small bowls where I would have to repeat the blending several times, but with a larger bowl, I only need to do it once. I have found the food processor easy to clean as well. The only thing that would make this product better would be a glass bowl instead of plastic.

Great food processor but am confused by the scraper
Needed a new food procesor and this one interterested me because it had a scraper feature that was unique to this food processor. Yes the scraper works and does what it proports to do. Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t see what advantage the scraper brings to the food processor. You still need to get the processed food product out of the bowl after processing your food items, same as any other food processor so what does have the scraper there do for you? in looking at the comments however I haven’t noticed anyone else scratching their head at this feature as I have.Regardless, I have found this food processor to be very good for chopping and slicing food items and fits my needs perfectly. So it fulfills my needs just fine for everything I want to use it for. There have been many comments on the high level of noise of this food processor, that is how loud it is. I would say yes, it is perhaps a little louder than other food processors I have used but I don’t find that to be objectionble at all, especially because it’s not being run very long when food is being processed. At most the food processor is on for less than a minute, sometimes only 30 seconds. So this is a food processor I can highly recomend. I

    ~Perfect for Hummus~
I bought this to make hummus—we have a decent Ninja blender at home, but haven’t had a food processor in years, and I was tired of how difficult it is to process hummus in a blender. At first, I considered a mini processor, but after many reviews and looking at cost-benefit, settled on this model instead.Yup, I was right—this is the one: I thought the side scraper would be fantastic for hummus and it IS; no more futzing about scraping down the sides! It’s also really sturdy, I appreciate the suction cup bottom, and it’s relatively easy to put together, though there is a learning curve there (handles/lock points must all align for it to run), and a quick start guide would not have gone amiss. However, minor quibbles when the thing was only 40 bucks. All that said, I can’t speak to anything but hummus yet—I’ll try to remember to add to this review when I do.So basically, if hummus is your reason, for the price, this should work well for you.

    Simple and reliable
I bought this to make homemade peanut butter and it has worked very well. It is easy to assemble and take apart to clean. I like the simple dial control that lets me pulse to chop or set to one of two speeds to grind and blend. I did rather overload the motor and it shut down, which is a safety feature to prevent motor damage. After a short cool down period it started right back up. Over all it is a great appliance for a very reasonable price.

    Great food processor
Bought for making pie crust and jam, and it works perfectly. Very strong and good capacity. Easy to clean.

Can’t really go wrong for under 50 bucks
This unit is replacing a 10(ish)-year old Hamilton Beach food processor that I had a love/hate relationship with. Finally, enough parts wore out on it that I could justify buying a new one (even though, realistically, it was still working). I wasn’t stuck on the Hamilton Beach name, but this happened to fit my needs and my wallet.I can’t say the unit feels particularly high quality. In fact, when I first took it out of the box, my initial thoughts were that they somehow forgot to put a motor in it. The base of my old one weighed like 5 lbs and this entire setup is a fraction of that. That is likely the reason the quality feels lacking. The switch in particular feels only ok, but for $50, I don’t really have room to complain.Strangely enough, I rarely use it for food. Instead, we use it to grind up soft dog treats into powder to sprinkle over dry dog food to make it more enticing. Enticing, to the dogs, not to us. It tackles this chore with ease. I’ve used it for making hummus and slicing up onions, and it handled both of those jobs like a true champ. The stated capacity is 10 cups, but as is the case with almost all food processors, that is only for dry goods. The liquid capacity is 2 cups, if you go by the line marked on the bowl. I filled the bowl up with water until it was spilling out of the hole in the middle, and it held 6 cups. So figure it’ll easily do 4 liquid cups without spilling down the center shaft, since liquids are thrown outward when the blades are spinning. However, the top is not hermetically sealed to the bowl, so some liquids might dribble out down the sides on high speed if you push past the rated liquid capacity.Honestly, I don’t know how so much power and speed comes from such a lightweight device. The motor noise is not horrendous, but I’ve only had one other food processor to compare it to. It is probably a little quieter than the old one, which is not to say that it is silent. The noise is more of a high speed whirring sound than the throaty growl of the one I retired. It’s almost a hollow sound, which again, does not instill a lot of confidence in the quality. Perhaps I’m just partial to heavy tools. Performance-wise, I can’t think of anything negative to say. The base even has suction cup feet on the bottom to keep it from jumping around the counter. The food scraper is a gimmick, right? I had already made up my mind to never use such an obviously far-reaching add-on before ever taking it out of the box. Then I tried it once. Honestly, I don’t think it has been separated since. It doesn’t scrape down below the height of the blades, but it does clean all that loose stuff off the sides fairly well. The scraper is just made of plastic, but it is well-designed and effective. I now have to wonder why this feature took so long to evolve. :)UPDATE: Over 2 years later and still going strong. We don’t chop as many dog treats with it as we used to. The dogs are old and we have resorted to giving them grilled chicken breast, which we can only chop in small batches or it goes bad. So we use a small chopper. But I have absolutely no complaints about the performance or effectiveness of this product to date.UPDATE: Over 10 years later and still alive. Who even updates a review after 10 years? The food scraper broke a few years back, so that’s long gone. The pusher thing has a crack in it, but I’m sure the culprit was one too many drops on the tile floor and not a design flaw. The rest of it is intact and still runs great. It’s crazy that I doubted the quality of this appliance, and it ended up outlasting the original.

    Great value
I bought this as an inexpensive replacement for my cuisinart food processor that I had for many years, but eventually cracked. I have had this one now for over a year, and I will never go back to the more expensive ones. This works so well for everything I have used it for, including thicker doughs – it does not seem to have any problem handling anything I’ve thrown in there. I love the suction cups on the bottom that keep it from “traveling” across my counter, and even the gadget to scrap down the sides actually works really well – better than I expected, as I thought it was just a gimmick. This is a great value, and if I ever need another one, I will definitely get another Hamilton Beach.

  8. Amazon Customer

Loving this food processor, gets the job done quickly. No issues with it. Big enough for a small family and therefore doesn’t take up a huge amount of space. Especially like it to chop tomatoes for pasta sauce.

  9. Amazon Customer

The product does what it supposed to do.Good value for the price.
