The Ideal Security SK602 series wireless alert uses a motion sensor to detect motion and sends a wireless signal to the linked receiver. Once a signal is received by the receiver, the unit will chime, alarm (100dB) or just flash lights. Can be used to monitor driveways, gates, sheds, walkways, and swimming pools. Monitor front or back doors at small businesses, or supervise children to keep them safe. The motion sensor works in both light and darkness, but it is not pet immune. To deter intruders, choose the high-decibel alarm. In situations where movement must be restricted, this alarm set can provide a gentle chime indication to warn others. Use the lights-only mode to silently keep an eye on movement in areas of your home, shop, or place of work. The range from the sensor to the receiver is up to 120 meters (390 feet). The sensor’s viewing angle covers an arc of 45 degrees and detects motion at a distance of 5-8 meters (16-26 feet). The receiver has an on and off switch and volume control for the alarm and chime. Both units can be fastened to the wall using the screw keyholes on the back, or can be kept portable. The motion sensor unit can be installed indoors or outdoors. When installing outdoors, try to shelter it from direct downpours. The alarm unit is designed for indoor applications only. Up to 50 sensors can be linked to the alert. Additional sensors are available and sold separately (SK602-1). Batteries are required and are not included: 3 C batteries for the receiver and 3 AAA batteries for the sensor. Works like a charm!
Fast shipping and the product works like a charm or should I say chime. I like the fact that it works off of batteries or a plug in because if the electricity ever goes out it will still work on the batteries and you can move it anywhere. It’s a great product for security alerts because when you put it on the chime setting the alert is very loud so you will hear it throughout the house no matter where you are. This is important because it will give you a heads up if someone is on your property. It was easy to set up and I am very satisfied with the product.

Highly recommend.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Have used this for a month now. The sensor is outdoors to notify me of people coming up our long driveway. I just placed it on the ground in a corner, it is surrounded by rocks and getting rained on. It has done great! It detects both cars and people walking up. Note that even on “Low” the notification is VERY piercing and loud for inside a home. You will hear it! Have had a couple “false alarms” that I think were birds hopping around nearby, and one late at night that might have been our local raccoon or deer. I did not expect it to survive well in the rain and with the range outdoors, I am very pleased.

This product was shipped fast, set-up was super easy, had a great range for detecting movement. Was so happy with this item that I ordered two more sensors. Held my breath that they would connect without any issues. I was pleased to find out that they connected without any problems. I was up and running both times within minutes of opening the boxes. Great for use in my small business with many entries. Now I know when a customer is approaching when I’m busy working. My only wish was that it had different tones so that I could quickly identify which entry is being triggered. Maybe that feature could be added in the next model upgrade. In my opinion, the whole batch was worth the money.

In my line of work, I need to focus my attention in one direction for long periods and I want to minimize the chances that someone can sneak up on me. This package is a great deal, but would it work at the distance I needed? I set up the sensor at the entrance gate to my work area and put the alarm unit on the dashboard of my truck, about 250 meters away. It was mostly line-of-sight, with some sparse trees in the way. When my coworker came through the gate, I was greeted with a pleasant chime that thrilled me out of all proportion. This is a cool little unit and I’m super happy I found it. It will be going everywhere with me.Update 1: Exactly one day after the return window closed, the receiver has stopped working. I will change the batteries and see if that helps; if not, I will test Amazonâs customer service. All I want is a unit that works.Update 2: I changed the batteries and that didnât work. I was getting ready to take the receiver apart and make sure everything was connected, but it suddenly magically started working again. (Shrug)

TERRIBLE
I just had siding and windows installed. This item arrived August 25, but I did not open it and attempt to use until this past week. It doesn’t work. Lights up but can’t get it to chime when motion is detected. I have used a different brand for years. Bought this because of the color. I’ll stick to what I currently use, even if it is white.

I must have a poor sensor
I have another motion sensor I bought on Amazon. I did a comparison and sent the results to the Seller. Human detection range max 12 feet. Angle of sensitivity +/- 15degrees. As compared to my other detector, I must have a poor one.Outside , my other detector alarms at Amazon driving up. This on doesn’t.

Nothing fancy, Works great (as long as you remember to turn it on…)
I use this so I can keep my garage door open when I use the internal door to go into the house. The motion detection works well…a little too well so that you have to be careful where you point it. My garage opens straight to the street, and I set up the motion detector almost perpendicular to the street facing slightly outward, and it started detecting cars on the street three houses away.Nothing fancy here. Three tones – chime that beeps four times either low or high (I use this on the high), and a scary alarm setting. I just set the motion detector on a shelf in the garage, and the alarm on a stool inside the house, and try to remember to flip the on off switch when I go through the door. The alarm module uses C size batteries, but you can purchase an adapter to plug it into the wall. The adapter is a little more expensive than I would have thought…and unfortunately I didn’t have one that output the same voltage.

Needed new alarm for driveway. Switched brands to this one. Super easy set up. More functions than last one. Won’t go without an alarm ever again. Only complaint is the size of batteries needed. Wish they would build these units to fit the smaller/cheaper sized batteries.
