    Absolutely love it
I’ve just used it a few times and just for rice. It’s the best thing since sliced bread! I’m very happy I bought this machine. It’s pricey yes, but the ease of use and convenience can’t be beat. Over the years I’ve had simple/cheap rice cookers that worked but did not give consistent results. So far this KitchenAid beats all of them by far.I’ve been making long grain Basmati rice because I love the taste and aroma. Start with a good brand of rice! The old saying is true, you get what you pay for. Using good quality ingredients will result in good results. I rinsed the rice a few times in a bowl to remove the excess starch. Put the rinsed/wet rice in the cooking pot, close the lid and follow the on screen prompts to start the cooker. It couldn’t be easier. I then walk away to do other things until I hear the sound that the rice was done. It’s been perfect every time just using the regular setting. I’m in my mid 60s and I’ve become a rather lazy cook. Having perfect rice is wonderful without watching a pot. Really is a “set it and forget it” kind of thing. After my first time using the rice cooker I put some rice in a bowl and added a little butter and S&P. It was excellent. I could eat rice like that every day. Next time I used it as a base for a slow cooker chicken curry and I felt like a chef, LOL. The keep warm feature works very well too. I’m not someone who wants the keep warm feature to work for 10-12 hours. I read one review that thinks that’s a deal breaker but I’ll say I think the average person wouldn’t need a 10 hour keep warm feature. This rice cooker/steamer is a game changer for me. Perfect rice without measuring anything and clean up is a breeze. The interior pot is non-stick and I hand wash it quickly and easily. After using I dump out the leftover water from the tank as a personal preference but you could certainly leave the water there for next use. Overall this was worth the price for me and the machine will be on my countertop to use often. Very happy with this purchase.

    Impressive
I already have a rice cooker, which I love. So why get this! Because of its grain and bean cooking ability. It really does an excellent job. It is also quite compact, modern looking, light, easy to clean and has intuitive interface allowing lots of options.

    Perfect Rice- just amazing
This rice maker really is worth the money. It is amazingly easy and the rice has been perfect every time with or without rinsing. We have tried three different types of rice so far and are amazed every time. Easy to clean as well. My only request would be if it had a countdown timer from the beginning and not just the last few minutes but that isn’t a huge problem.

LOVE this for the WFPB Family!
Love, love, LOVE! Perfect rice every time, even if I don’t rinse it! The delayed start timer and post-cooking warmer are fantastic features that ensure rice, grains, and beans are hot and ready just when I need them. I eat a whole food, plant based diet and make a large batch of grains or beans every day—this takes so much work (measuring exactly, watching the cooking timer, scrubbing the pot and/or stovetop afterward) off my plate. Super happy I splurged!

    Upped My Game
I’ve so far used this to cook various kinds of rice and a couple of grains. There are a ton of great features here and I’ve only had one batch turn out funky, and it was my fault — I made my own Turkey stock and, because this machine goes by weight and the home made stock ended up weightier than a broth, I ended up with dry rice. I’ve learned now to add a little bit of that stock prior to the machine’s calibration of the scale so that I don’t do that to myself again. Highly recommend putting any non-liquid non-rice/grain ingredients in before the scale gets calibrated. I also love that options exist for rinsed/unrinsed and that there’s absolutely no guesswork required. Well worth the money for the convenience and consistent results!

    Nice Product
⭐ 4/5Great addition to my kitchen, but with minor quirksThe KitchenAid Grain and Rice Cooker has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. It consistently cooks rice and grains to perfection, and the user-friendly interface makes it easy to use. I especially love the versatility—it handles everything from quinoa to brown rice effortlessly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the cleanup. While the cooking bowl is non-stick, it can still be a bit tricky to clean if food gets stuck. Additionally, the instructions could be a bit clearer for first-time users.Overall, it’s a reliable and efficient cooker that saves time and delivers great results. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their meal prep!

Great for easy rice and beans.
Purchased this to replace an aging rice cooker. The display makes it very easy to cook rice, beans and oatmeal. Very pleased with how everything comes out. Great for an amateur cook.

It’s looks exactly like the picture. It makes life easy just press the button and leave.makes good rice, I haven’t tried anything else besides rice .Im luving it..even though its small and quite expensive for the size it is.Im glad i got this !

  9. Kdub

It makes very good rice and very good oatmeal. And the operation couldn’t be simpler. Add your food push the button and come back when you hear the timer go off.

  10. Bruce

A bit expensive but works great

  11. Amazon Customer

I got this because making rice in a pot and in my insta pot always seemed to be off and I couldn’t enjoy the rice. This pricey item makes perfect rice every time that even I can make it. I love that the keep warm function lets me turn it on hours before I need the rice and it’s ready to use when I’m ready to eat. Worth the money.

  12. A. Buyer

We are very satisfied with this purchase. Yes, it is on the pricier side, but it is the convenience we needed to make cooking easier for our busy schedules. My only caution would be that it is on the small side. The machine does not like to cook more than 2 cups of rice, which is fine for our small household but is not worth it for larger families.
