Works great…
Got this to use as a second camera at my mom’s house. Makes me feel better knowing I can keep an eye on her and her home. Easy to install, directions are clear. Great choice.

Not able to get activated with Verizon
Update: I have resolved connection issues. I went to T-Mobile and they were able to get me set-up. Things I learned. Donât get the T-Mobile SIM cards on line, only good that can be activated must come through their stores, that is what I was told by T-Mobile. Verizon wouldnât activate as according to them not compatible. Reolink was very good about communicating with me about my issues. All three cameras are set up and are great and we live in a very isolated location. I updated the star rating as I can now evaluate the cameras.Would love to comment about how it works, but have not been able to get it activated with Verizon, the only service that is reliable in our area. The Verizon stores are working on getting the sims cards activated for me. They were concerned about using my phone to activate the cards. Hopefully we will be able to get the three cameras we purchased up and working.

Works great. Disappointed with cloud plans
This review is for: REOLINK 4K Cellular Security Camera, 3G/4G LTE No WiFi Wireless Outdoor Camera, 4K Live Video, 360° Full Cover, Color Night Vision, Smart Person/Vehicle/Pet Detection, GO PT UltraI’ve been purchasing Reolink cameras for many years. I’ve always given them five stars as they really work well for my purposes. Unfortunately, there’s a little problem now.Almost all of my cameras are battery-powered. Most of my older cameras are not LTE. I use their cloud plan as it is amazingly fast to archive clips and I need to see them instantly. Unfortunately, Reolink has separated their cloud plans for LTE cameras and non-lte cameras. The non-lte cameras are on something called a “Legacy” plan now, which Reolink has pretty much buried and made impossible for people to find. But even once you find it, if you have it newer LTE cameras, you are going to find that you need two entirely separate cloud plans for your cameras. This is a huge disappointment for me. Having two entirely separate cloud plans just based on LTE cameras or non LTE cameras does not seem like a smart move for pleasing customers. I am not pleased.Aside from that large complaint, the camera works well. I am extremely familiar with these cameras and aside from the issue mentioned above, the app is user-friendly and pretty reliable.I don’t use the solar panels to often. I use these cameras off the grid, but in inconspicuous locations for animal rescue. Having a solar panel out would draw too much attention. I use a special battery pack to power the cameras and switch it out every few days. Works great. No issues. There is a popular data SIM card for Reolink so you are cameras. I think it’s something like Eiotclub or something similar. I can’t remember the spelling, but you will find other people talking about it as well. There is a popular guy on YT called HuntingFarmer that does extensive videos on Reolink cellular cameras and data plans for them. Very helpful.

Strictly cellular – pan and tilt which is the best feature – works well with solar panel
Overall, this is a good quality cellular camera. I was able to use it with my current cell service (had to get a sim card) and it has worked well. Set up was pretty straightforward. I have connected a solar panel to the camera, so I don’t have to worry about a power source to recharge the battery. Since its a motion only capture camera, the solar panel is really the ideal set up, especially if you have it in an area with a lot of motion. Reolink actually has a decent app that is easy to use and navigate. They offer a cloud service for video storage, but I prefer to use a microSD which I had to purchase separately. Picture quality is very good whether day or night. The best feature of the camera is the pan and tilt which gives you full range of vision. It also has an extensive digital zoom which is nice too. Lastly, since this is cellular, you want to make sure this is set up in an area where service is good, or it will ruin your whole set up. Overall, great quality cellular camera with a lot of nice features.

Love this cellular security camera!
I really like this camera, and bought the solar panel that the company makes to use with it after I tested it out so that I didn’t need to recharge it all the time. That was over a month ago and I still haven’t hooked up the solar panel, and the battery is STILL going. Keep in mind this is a security camera that notifies you when there is motion and ONLY records events. It doesn’t record 24/7, and if that’s what you need, this isn’t it, but this is a GREAT camera with great picture quality. It was easy to set up and get connected. You DO need to purchase a sim card to put into this and set up service. I have had terrible luck with the big carriers and getting a sim card in the past so I purchased one on Amazon for less than $10, and I pay a $10/month service fee to have it work. If you need a cell camera (not Wi-Fi), this is a great camera and I’m glad I have it. It’s in a stationary location now but I plan to use it as a mobile security camera for a few occasions this summer, and having a cellular camera makes that super easy. Great camera!!

Perfect for remote monitoring
If you have a summer camp or similar that you need to be able to monitor during the off season that doesn’t have Wi-Fi but is able to get a cell phone signal, this along with a

PTZ camera with LTE access and control
Wi-Fi access cameras typically are connected to the local internet connection, either wired or wireless to the router. This camera is atypical of other cameras, in that it can be entirely accessed by cellular link. That also means that you canât access it by local Wi-Fi hence its mention in the description. This is good, it can be remotely installed, so long as there is power, it will provide control and an image. The install was easy, insert the SIM card, power on and link with the app. Theoretically a solar panel that would feed a battery, charged during the day and supply power during the night or cloudy days could sustain the camera indefinitely. Recommended for ease of use and versatility.
