Works as expected!
Works great! My dog doesn’t whine, bark or scratch to come back inside but he’ll come up on the porch and just sit there. This lets me know when he’s up on the porch and ready to come in. Was super easy to set up with SmartLife. Turned off the ‘no motion’ alert. Sends a phone notification and I can customize the notification sound. If you want it to text you, it costs a subscription fee but why the need for a text when it sends the phone notification?

3 to 6 second delay
I like the fact that it works on replaceable batteries. Works with Smart Life and Alexa without any problems. My only complaint is it takes 3-6 seconds to activate my lights. I placed it right next to my door in my garage so it turns on my lights prior to entering my house.

It Works and is Functional
Setup was pretty painless using the suggested Smart Life app, but there is a good 3-6 second delay between the sensor sensing movement (as indicated by a short flash of the red LED on the unit) and the app giving you a notification that the device has measured movement of some kind.I feel like the detection is mildly inconsistent and sometimes misses you unless you move directly in front of the detection cone. The throw of the sensor isnât super great, but it has picked me up a good 20 feet away.It also feels like the right side is more sensitive than the left (when stood upright with the LED on top and looking at it from the front)Construction is super simple, but effective. The back plate has two countersunk holes for permanent mounting, and comes with double sided foam tape. Not a huge fan of the pinhole wireless reset switch, it would be much better to just have a button inside the unit, but it works well enough.It work well at quickly detecting motion that passes in front of it, so if thatâs your jam, thisâll probably be perfect for you.

Cheap and Consistent
This little device works well with Home Assistantâs Tuya integration. It tracks motion and can be adjusted so it doesnât trigger every time a cat walks by (although it does every once in awhile).Itâs smaller than many other PIR sensors but doesnât lack the features. I donât know what people are talking about with lack of WiFi; mine works just fine and uses WiFi. Iâm using the Tuya Smart app however; these use the Tuya platform and can be connected via Tuya. Iâve got this running on localtuya via Home Assistant.Iâm going to grab a few more of them, most likely. Much easier to set up than mmWave sensors, and I can afford to put them in every room I need one. I know similar models can be had cheaper but the Amazon delivery/return is just so much easier.

Wonât connect to app
Downloaded required app and followed all instructions. Sensor would never connect to app. Ended up having to return item.

Easy to set up
Super easy to set up with Tuya or Smart Life app. Direct connections to WiFi router is nice (no Zigbee hub needed). I just got this sensors so I donât know how long the batteries would last, but it uses 2 AAA batteries so itâs easy to replace them. The only downside is that the sensor takes up to 3 to 5 seconds to relay the devices that are connected so when I enter a dark room, I have to wait up to 5 seconds to turn on a light automatically. Up to 5 seconds is acceptable so I am satisfied.
