    Simple install and it works.
Previous automatic switch lasted 25 years and need replacement when it failed. I purchased this unit because it had same features and looked very contemporary with clean lines. This installation took less than five minutes after I shut off the breaker. Closed the breaker and tested the light. Worked perfectly first time and has been doing a great job ever since. Good price for a good product.

    Easy install
Took me a whole 5 minute to install this. Luckily my circuit panel is labeled, but couldn’t be easier. The basement light switch in my house is single pole with a load and hot wire, no ground or neutral wiring. I grounded the switch to the switch box. Works as described.

Works well in all features except that it doesn’t detect fine movements very well so it auto shuts off on me sometimes
I installed this motion sensor switch in the guest bedroom and set it to vacancy mode – manual ON/auto OFF. It works well at turning the light off automatically but it works too well I guess. I was sitting at the desk by the light switch but it doesn’t really detect me (with fine movement like typing or writing) so it turns the light off multiple times when I am there. I have to make some movements so the sensor can sense me.The good thing is it has a 30-second gap right after the light shuts off due to timeout that it can automatically turn the light on if any motion is detected so I don’t have to reach for the switch to turn it on manually (vacancy mode). It is kind of a little annoying to still have to wave at the switch to turn the light back on though.I still give the switch the benefit of a doubt that the desk could have blocked some areas of its sensor range (though I set max range) but I have nowhere else to put the desk so that the room will be as spacious so I just leave it be. There won’t be any problem if there’s not-so-fine movement.Other than this, it has worked great. This switch is very affordable compared to many store brands. I also have Lutron occupancy sensor dimmer and have no problem with this issue mentioned earlier but that Lutron is almost 3 times the price of this one so I can bear with this plus it’s for the guest bedroom, not master bedroom anyway. Overall, I would highly recommend this switch for its feature, functions and affordability if it serves your purposes.

    Solved our problem!
We’ve been using a Leviton occupancy sensor switch to control our garage lights for over 5 years and it has worked flawlessly the entire time. However, we recently installed a portable A/C unit in the garage and the only place would could put it is about 5-6 feet from where the switch is (about 3 feet out and 4 feet to the side of it.) We noticed that every time the A/C would turn on so would the lights!I did some looking and decided to give this one a try. I wasn’t sure if the lights turning on was being caused by some type of current ‘surge’ in the line or if it was actually caused by the switch detecting the air blowing from the unit. I went with this TOPGREENER switch because it requires a neutral (which I figured would be more reliable than ones that don’t since they’re basically bleeding off the line to the lights) and also because it has a sensitivity control on it.I installed the switch and everything appeared to work fine; initially no false triggering from the A/C and the switch functions perfectly. I turns on right away with motion, stays on continuously as long as there is motion in the room, and turns off 20 mins after the last motion event occurs. It also will turn right back on if I re-enter the room after it’s gone off, even if that was just seconds ago. There are a lot of reviews indicating that it does not function this way, but maybe they have changed the programming in them. I’m not sure, but I do know it works exactly as expected. After testing for a while I did find that it would still occasionally turn on when the A/C cycled on, so I decreased the sensitivity control slightly and it has never happened since. My only complaint about this switch is that it does not seem to detect motion as well as my old Leviton switch did, especially off to the sides. Our switch is on the side wall as you come into the garage, so when we open the door we are at about a 45 degree angle from the switch; the Leviton would turn on immediately when door was opened and before we even had a chance to start into the garage whereas this switch requires us to actually walk through the doorway and take about one step into the garage before it turns on (at this point we are directly in front of it.) It also doesn’t appear to detect motion at a distance as well, but I assume that is mostly due to my having to decrease the sensitivity, so I’ll live with that. It will work ok for our needs and is a fair trade-off.One thing I really love about it is that you can remove the cover to access the setting controls without having to remove the wall plate! This is a wonderful design. Not the case with the Leviton. All things considered this is a great switch! It works for us and solved our unique problem.

Great option – No common wire required
Working flawlessly in a “knob and tube” system for a couple of months now. Perfect in situations where the junction box has no common (typically the white) wire.Bottom line: Do your research, and if you have no common wire, this is your best option I have found.

  7. Fred S. Schlosser

    Works without a neutral
This occupancy sensor (PIR) works without a neutral which is important in older homes, and even some newer ones. I’ve only had it for a week or so, but so far, no glitches.

  8. Paul B. Kootenays, BC

Works exactly as I wanted. I built a new garage and found it a pain to walk through all my stuff to turn on the lights. So I got these, did a quick and easy swap and they work like a charm. The switch part pops off even with the cover plate on to make it easy to change the settings. The sensor works via ultraviolet so senses body temp. I was afraid it would trigger through the glass on my garage door but it doesn’t. Only once I enter.Instructions are well written and easy to understand. Overall this is a great product.

  9. Tim

Works great. Easy to install. Will take up most of the room in outlet box. Doesnรขย€ย™t seem to pick up dogs or small children. Overall good product and great price. I bought bulk to save significantly.Great for the bathrooms.

Spent almost $100 for Leviton motion sensor switches but none of them work with my LED bulb. My bulb kept on flickering when the switch is on off mode.I was very frustrated but wanted to give this one a try. Bought it, and I am very happy with it. Works just fine. Easy installation No flickering no problems at all.I am ordering 10 more switches for my home.

Changed two switches, basement storage and garage . Works better than expected and very easy to connect to the existing wiring.
