Worked perfectly for closet without a wallswitch
My closet light metal pull cord finally broke a from the base of the electric socket so I had to look at other options since I donât have a wall switch for that old closet.This was the perfect solution! Hands free ability to turn a light on via motion sensor!!! Brilliant! It took about 10 – 15 minutes re-adjusting and fine tuning the angle of the sensor âwindow/field of motionâ so that the closet light ONLY turns on when you enter the closet vs. walking past the open door closet! :0)Absolutely LOVE this idea and Iâm never going back to those metal beaded pull cords ever again! I bought the 2 pack and Iâm still deciding on where to use this 2nd one or maybe I will give to another family member who needs it at their house.Iâve been using this item for many weeks now and it works perfectly each time I walk into my dark closet! Easy to install
Easy to install and work perfectly. Note that when you install during the day and turn the light on it will stay on for 10 minutes and then turn off. The sensor activating the light when motion occurs does not make the light come on on the daylight. The same 10 minutes of light being bc on is true at night so donât think itâs not working. At night the motion in the area does activate the light.We got them to try to scare away deer who were coming right up to our house to eat our hosta plants. The lights work. Whether they scare the deer away remains to be seen!

Works just have to figure out how to aim it
The sensor seems to be blocked by my outdoor flood light. I am not able to get it in the proper position to aim it toward the area I am trying to cover with motion light

Kid friendly
Granddaughter wouldn’t let me on the ladder. Installation and adjustments were so easy she handled every one! Pleased with product quality, brightness and value. Blessed with this “kid”.

Detects motion, but only close by.
I bought these a week ago to to work with the outdoor floodlights lights at the corner of my garage,1. These are supposed to detect motion up to 20 feet in range. I found that they didn’t pick up motion until I was with 10 feet. Not ideal for deterring a thief from breaking into your car. He would have to walk around the front bumper for the lights to go on. I was able to walk around the driveway, up the driver’s side, (in direct line of sight with the corner light fixture), and get in my car without these things detecting me. The lights didn’t come on until I was pulling the car out of my driveway.2. These are rated for outside use, and claim to be water resistant. I have the light fixture installed under the eves of my garage, so water doesn’t get directly on them unless it’s a storm. As soon as the first rain fell, these started having issues. They must go into some kind safe-mode as soon as water is detected, because the lights wouldn’t turn on anymore after a couple hours of rain. I had to unscrew both the bulb, and the motion detector, town dry them, and reinstall to get them to turn on again.3. I would return these, but unfortunately it comes in the type of packaging that you have to destroy to open. I don’t think they would accept my return with shredded packaging.Overall I am disappointed with the product, and I would return them if I could.

This is frustrating, especially since it’s borderline impossible to get anyone at Westek to respond to any warranty questions…

Excellent sensor for those areas needed
I am using this in the kitchen and bathroom of my apartment and love it. Love the fact that they stay turn on for ten minutes and not 3 or 5 minutes like most sensors. I had one before in the kitchen that would turn off after 3 or 4 minutes and it was always shutting off when I am doing dishes. Never had that problem with this one. It does a good job after detection of motion. At the beginning it took a couple of tries getting on a latter to position it correctly but after that it has been great. I recommend it. I will be buying another one for my walking in closet.
