Fun ideas that work with it
Love Wyze products. I used this as a mail box security sensor and it works. Many say that you can’t use this type of sensor inside a metal mailbox but it worked for me. Set it up on the Wyze app then added it to Alexa app and created a routine. Open mail box and Alexa Announces “mail is here”. Mailbox about 30 feet from my house .Note I got two sensors and I broke one trying to figure out how to remove the back plate for screw mounting. Sensor fell apart and stopped working. To remove back plate it’s a slide down action just in case you like me and don’t read directions.Going to buy a few more to play with some idea’s… thanks WYZE

    They work great!
We have them near all our entryways. It gives us a peace of mind.

    Compact Sensor
The small size is great. Still getting to know it’s strengths and weaknesses.

    Reliable, good sensitivity, some quirks
I’ve been using several of these motion sensors throughout my home for a few months now. I’m satisfied with their performance, outside of a few minor quirks.Installation is straightforward thanks to the included mounting plate, which allows for either screws or adhesive pads, both included. The sensor is slightly bulkier than I would like and is stark white and glossy. This might be very aesthetically objectionable in some environments. I am not a fancy man, and my house is not the house of a fancy man, so in my case it blends in fine with my general “plastic garbage” theme. In terms of sensitivity, I did experience some inconsistency across different units. One sensor I bought seemed relatively “blind” compared to the others and was exchanged. It’s worth mentioning that there is a sensitivity adjustment in the app under the device settings, which is not easy to find and isn’t mentioned clearly in the instructions. It also doesn’t take effect immediately, and occasionally silently fails to update at all, so some patience and tweaking are required. It defaults to Medium. I’ve had the best results just setting all my sensors to High sensitivity. You may wish to mount the sensors temporarily e.g. with weak double-sided tape to test them before using screws or the provided semipermanent adhesive pads, because it can be non-obvious where to put the sensor for the best observation of the desired area. The horizontal angle of view is pretty wide and is not hard to figure out, but the vertical angle of view can be an issue (at the recommended mounting height of 7ft, people passing nearby directly under the sensor can sometimes avoid detection), and there seems to be an optimal range of working distance (the best sensitivity is at a distance of around 9ft, in my experience, with detection becoming slightly spottier as you get closer or farther away). In one room, I have two sensors where I now realize I could have just used one, because I couldn’t properly visualize the sensors’ field of view until I had mounted and used a few of them. The sensors are pretty good at ignoring pets (my cats don’t set them off) and rejecting other spurious motion (I have one in a bedroom that is not triggered by me moving around in bed, but does trigger the moment I get up), but they can sometimes miss larger objects, especially if they’re too close, too far, or moving too quickly. One big improvement over the previous generation Wyze Sense motion sensor is the switch to standard AAA batteries, which are much easier to replace compared to the old version’s unusual type of coin cell. The connection reliability has also been rock-solid; I haven’t experienced any dropouts or pairing issues. The pairing process is seamless, and once connected, these sensors stay connected.Being battery-powered, they seem to operate in “bursts” to conserve energy (something like only being active for a third of a second every second). This can occasionally introduce a slight delay in detection, and in rare cases, a person might pass the sensor without triggering it if the timing is just right and they’re super fast.Overall, this is a reliable and effective home monitoring motion sensor, with just a few areas for improvement.

Unreliable, Money Grab and Horruble customer service
I had 10+ cameras (indoor and outdoor), 30+ sensors, 4 Hubs; Home Monitoring, Cam Plus, and Cam Protect Services at one point. They used to be awesome. New company with some bugs but great customer service. I recommended them to everyone. But as of today…- Money Grab and Worst Customer Service. I’ve signed up to their annual Cam Protect for one camera, used it for a few months and then they disabled it saying that I can’t be a Home Monitoring and Cam Protect user at the same time. It was THEIR system bug that allowed me to subscribe and pay for it. I then asked for my money back over their email customer services and they sent me the same BS-scripted response every time I sent a note back. I understand that there could be bugs, but are you really stealing my money like this?- Video recognition. Every time that I needed some footage from one of the outdoor cameras when we had some security issues, there was NO recording. Their video sensor (PIR effective area) to start recording only works with HALF of the image, if something happens on the other half NOTHING will be recorded. So, we had property destroyed and no way to have proof of who did it.- Disconnects. The Hubs are continuously disconnecting from WIFI. Especially in the middle of the night. So, no protection when that happens.- Time wasted. I’ve had to reconfigure everything 50+ devices at least 3 times because of the disconnection and errors.- Random errors in the middle of the night at specific time intervals. Or motion detected when nothing is there activated alarm multiple times at night or sent Push notifications to alert of nothing happening.I canceled all my services today.Save yourself many headaches and frustrations and pick another company, even if it’s a little bit more expensive. The most important feature of a security system is its consistency in delivering results when needed.

Not as good as the old ones.
Sadly, mine is not nearly so responsive as the tiny ones that used the bridge in the back of a camera. With the larger size and everything you would think they would be better, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. However, they do still eventually detect when I walk into a room and turn my lights on.

Once I defeated their software bug things went well
Could not sign up for the monitoring due to a bug in the software. Figured out an alternate path using their web site. Tech support was almost useless and it took 3 different techs before they admitted the problem was on their end.One motion sensor seems less than sensitive even on the highest setting. Have to wave my hand in front of it to get it to trigger. 2 others seem to work correctly. The tape that holds the magnet for the door sensors is inadequate, one lasted less than 2 weeks, ended up gluing them to the door frame.

    Wyze security kit
Door sensors worked great, motion sensor coñetes to app but is non responsive to any movement.

As a Wyze HMS subscriber, I already knew what to expect from this additional sensor. It’s reliable, fully silent, has a good detection range and battery life is great. I added this one to automate lighting in a specific house area – on top of securing it.BE AWARE – Do NOT buy this sensor if you don’t already have a Wyze HMS system. It has no purpose without the Wyze HMS Hub. The Wyze HMS is ONLY AVAILABLE in the USA and Canada.AMAZON – The box I received was unsealed, the device had also been manipulated according to the protective wrapping. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE since it is being sold as new.

Ninguna queja el único inconveniente por el cuál se tuvo que devolver es por que el sistema de monitoreo y llamadas 24/7 no funciona en México, solo en U.S.A.

I don’t know why this is for sale in Canada. The base station required cannot be purchased for use in Canada

Does not work with alexa automation. First device was getting stuck so I replaced it. The second one doesnt catch motion immediately and it doesnt send alerts until the motion already ends. I wanted to use it to turn on a hallway light when someone passes but it never worked!I have the hub for it but this is useless because of the delay and no compatibility with alexa automation.I ended up buying a ring motion sensor and that works perfectly for my need.
